A new Song????
OK guys... here's the drama, regarding the new song.

A girl who went to the ceremony told somebody, that Amy played a new song called 'WAIT FOREVER', here's the post that I took from EvThreads:

-------- I've been told by someone who went to the ceremony that Amy performed Lithium, and a new song tentively titled Wait Forever.

I can't confirm this because I don't actually know this person. I run the Amy's Army myspace and she told me in a comment. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. --------

Also, some brazilians fans founded a video on youtube, just 3seconds of video, and they posted on YouTube and Wind-Up deleted, here's the post that I took from EvThreads:

-------- some people from ev brasil community found one youtube link,
they could watch just 3 seconds, and then, wind up closed the video
-.-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0PKcnRgANU

---------

Now, the girl who listen to the song on the ceremony reply on message to the MySpace's Amy's Army:

--------- You mean proof like...besides the picture of me and her? lol we weren't allowed to take pictures at the place while she was performing because only certain media ppl were allowed to do that. But this guy David who looks like Edge from U2 played cello to accompany her on both songs. The new song was very slow & she said she wrote it a few weeks ago...the lyrics were like "you know I'll wait for you forever" and something about we'll soar away or something. I only heard it once so I don't know how much more detail I could give on it." ---------

Here's her Myspace: http://myspace.com/20423896

And also she posted the next message on EvThreads.Com:

--------- Wow Ok...so apparently I'm famous now.

This is "myspace girl." First of all, I don't remember giving ANYONE permission to post those pictures on here, even the creator of Amy's Army. But whatever, I don't really care about that.

First of all, yes Amy played Lithium and a new song that she didn't name. I can't give you that many details because I was trying to actually enjoy seeing Amy and not concentrating on reporting back to rabid fans (not all of you, but some of you actually scare me )

And you probably wont find videos because the whole meeting was about copyright issues and the fight against YouTube. Amy said that since it was a songwriters meeting (her and other song-writers were honored) she played a song that she wrote a few weeks ago. It will probably be on the next album or maybe she'll confirm.

For the people who don't believe me, I honestly don't care. I didn't expect to even get it, just to wait outside to see if I could hear the performance.

We got in by showing our college ID's and saying we were writing a letter for the school newspaper. I don't think the guy believed us, but he was cool and let us in.

Pictures/recording would have been greatly frowned upon considering the nature of this meeting. However, pictures were taken (by professionals of course) of all of the songwriters who were honored with their awards, I dont know if those will be posted.

So I guess all you can do is wait and see if Amy confirms. I have no reason to lie, nor do I feel the need to validate myself through countless myspace friend requests of people I've never met. I was just sharing with one person (well I guess anyone who accesses her site) that I met her and because of her announcement on myspace I knew about it.

If Amy reads this and this wasn't something she wanted people to find out about, I'm sorry. But I felt I needed to respond, since I am apparently the infamous "myspace girl."

Peace <3 ---------

So, this is not a confirmed info, so if you wanna believe it, do it...

NMPA Honors Amy Lee
The National Music Publishers' Assn. will honor Grammy Award-winning songwriter/singer Amy Lee with its 2008 Songwriter Icon Award and Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) with the 2008 President's Award.

The group will present Lee with her award during the NMPA general membership meeting, which is open to all publishers and songwriters, next week in New York City.

"The NMPA is in many ways a bridge between policymakers and the music publishers and songwriters we serve, so it's a privilege to recognize an outstanding representative from each of these groups in conjunction with our annual meeting each year," NMPA president/CEO David Israelite says.

"This year we are honored that the multi-talented Amy Lee will join us in New York City not only to receive this award but to perform as well," he continues. "We are also so pleased to present Senator Leahy with the President's Award. He a friend of the industry, and a true fan of music."

The Icon Award, which recognizes outstanding songwriters for their personal achievement, is presented to those who personify the vision of the NMPA and the goals of its members. Former recipients include Jimmy Webb and Neil Sedaka.

The NMPA established the President's Award in 2005 to recognize an individual who has been a leader on issues of importance to music publishers and songwriters, and who works diligently to strengthen intellectual property protection.

The group will present Leahy with his award in Washington, D.C. The annual meeting is set for June 18 in New York City

Evanescence Official Italian Tribute Band 2008-2009
OK! I think I've done it.
It was REALLY hard to pick a winner out of the finalists in the Italian Ev tribute band contest. I have to admit, I've never done anything like this. To chose someone who does the best impression of you- well- its really weird! Hahaha. I am so honored that so many people got together and learned our music down to the tiniest details to put together live performances AND demos! It was awesome and fun to watch. I had a really hard time choosing only one though, because they were all good in different ways. Setanera had the best costumes (love the red riding hood cape), I love Even in Death's stage setup, with the candles and Ev videos playing- very cool! My two favorites were Cloud Nine and Pumpkin. I really love Cloud Nine's video because it just looks like you guys are having fun- and the singer is great! Pumpkin had the best live show- the band sounds great, the lights are cool, the singer has very good stage presence (thrashing her hair around all over the place- who taught you to do that?? :) ), and last but not least, Pumpkin is my favorite of all the names! So the winner is..... PUMPKIN!

Thanks for putting all of this together- I feel very loved, as I always do around the Italian Ev. fans. You guys rock!!
love,
Amy

So here's the video:
